Software Asset Management
More software on less hardware. That is the future and the future is already here. It just makes good business sense. But it complicates things too. Hardware Asset Management
It starts with servers, workstations, laptops and desktops. However, VoIP phones, video security cameras, switches and routers all have a lifecycle model too, with both a variable and a fixed cost that needs to be tracked. Using the latest on-demand and on-premise discovery and asset lifecycle tracking tools we help you know where your assets are and what they are costing you. Hardware virtualization is causing a ripple effect on hardware consolidation and therefore asset disposition. You need less hardware going forward and therefore you need to properly dispose of that hardware. Both IT and Finance have obligations, collectively to dispose of the asset, correctly, greenly. If specific software came with that hardware, you need a method of repurposing and/or re-using those software titles elsewhere.
